Handmade Hopi Komo / Red Amaranth ink
-Wild Cherry - harvested from backyard trees in Rosewood, this ink can range anywhere from deep violets and blues to soft grey-green
-Safflower - the dried petals of hundreds of these flowers were cooked down to make a bright yellow ink
-Hopi Komo (Red Amaranth) - first grown by the Maya and gifted to the Hopi, this harvest came from Boone Fox Farm in Columbia SC. A bright/ light pink to deep red ink
These bookmarks were born out of “ink tests” I was doing while foraging and making inks with natural materials in 2024. After displaying and selling hundreds of them during a recent solo show, I’m now offering some more favorites here.
Approximately 1.5” x 5.5, on heavyweight archival watercolor paper.
Each bookmark is signed and dated on the back, with materials listed.
