Inspired by the Narcissus “Flower Drift” Double Daffodil. This piece was meticulously handcrafted from Italian and German crepe paper and Japanese floral wire. I hand-dyed the bright center petals, and each petal and leaf were cut by hand, no two are alike.
I sculpted the base from clay. The flower nests inside it in a heavyweight steel floral frog, painted by hand to blend seamlessly with the clay base.
