Handmade Iron Gall ink
Handmade Wild Cherry + Copper ink

-Iron Gall - the ancient, inerasable black favored by Shakespeare, daVinci, Bach, Van Gogh, the U.S. Postal Service, and countless others. Made by me, from ground oak galls abandoned by baby wasps, and ferrous sulfate

-Wild Cherry - harvested from backyard trees in South Carolina, this ink can range anywhere from deep violets and blues to a beautiful soft grey-green.

-Copper ink - old copper nails and bits, soaked in salt and vinegar to make bright turquoise

These bookmarks were born out of ink tests I did while creating ink from foraged natural materials in 2024.

Approximately 1.5” x 5.5, on heavyweight archival watercolor paper.
Each bookmark is signed and dated on the back, with materials listed. Sold in curated collections of two.
